Zucchini Ham Rice Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Seasonings

01 - A tablespoon of olive oil
02 - Salt and black pepper
03 - Optional: French seasoning blend (Herbes de Provence)

→ Vegetables & Base

04 - Three zucchini
05 - One onion
06 - Two garlic cloves
07 - 150g of pre-cooked rice

→ Protein & Dairy

08 - 200ml of fresh cream
09 - 200g of diced ham
10 - 100g of shredded cheese (cheddar, gruyere, or emmental)

# Instructions:

01 - Wash the zucchini and slice them into thin circles (or shred them if you prefer). Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
02 - Cut the ham into small cubes.
03 - Heat up the olive oil in a pan and sauté the zucchini, onion, and garlic until the zucchini softens and gets a little golden. Season it with salt, pepper, and the optional herbs.
04 - Take a big bowl and mix the pre-cooked rice, the sautéed zucchini mix, the cubed ham, and the fresh cream. Add some seasoning to taste.
05 - Preheat your oven to 180°C. Pour the mixture into a buttered baking dish, sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top, and pop it into the oven for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden and it’s thoroughly heated.

# Notes:

01 - You can keep it in the fridge for up to three days.
02 - It’s easy to reheat in the microwave or oven.
