Nestlé Toll House Treat (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cake Ingredients

01 - 1 box of chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz)
02 - 1 box of Devil's Food cake mix
03 - A teaspoon of vanilla extract
04 - 5 large eggs
05 - 1 cup sour cream or buttermilk (pick one)
06 - 3/4 cup vegetable oil
07 - 3/4 cup cooled brewed coffee
08 - 2 cups chocolate chips (Nestlé is a solid option)

→ Ganache Topping

09 - 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
10 - 1 stick of salted butter, melted
11 - 3 tablespoons milk
12 - Half a box of powdered sugar
13 - A teaspoon of vanilla
14 - 1/2 cup chopped pecans

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan well.
02 - In a big mixing bowl, combine the pudding mix with the cake mix.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla, oil, sour cream (or buttermilk), and your coffee until it’s smooth.
04 - Slowly add the wet mixture into the dry stuff, stirring as you go. Toss in the chocolate chips at the very end.
05 - Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 45 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes before flipping it out of the pan.
06 - In a small pan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in the cocoa, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Add in the pecans last.
07 - Pour the warm ganache on top of the cake. Slice and enjoy while it’s still warm—add some ice cream if you’d like!

# Notes:

01 - Coffee boosts the chocolatey flavor but doesn’t make it taste like coffee.
02 - You can skip the pecans if you want this nut-free.
03 - Let the cake rest for 10 minutes before flipping it out of the pan to keep it from breaking.
