Sweet Chocolate Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup of light brown sugar, packed tightly.
02 - 1 stick of salted butter (1 cup).
03 - 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
04 - 1 sleeve of saltine crackers (around 40).
05 - 1 cup of chopped red and green M&Ms.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F. Cover a baking tray with foil or parchment paper, then spray it with cooking spray so nothing sticks.
02 - Spread the crackers evenly across the lined baking tray so they fit snugly.
03 - Melt the butter and brown sugar in a small pot over a medium flame. Stir as it bubbles, then simmer it for 3 to 4 minutes.
04 - Pour the sugary butter mix over the crackers, making sure to coat them evenly.
05 - Pop the tray into the oven and bake for about 5-6 minutes until it starts bubbling.
06 - Take the tray out of the oven and scatter the chocolate chips over the crackers. Let them sit for 5 minutes so the chocolate softens.
07 - Grab a spatula and smooth the melted chocolate over the crackers so it forms an even layer.
08 - Sprinkle the chopped M&Ms over the melted chocolate. Spread them out evenly for a festive look.
09 - Transfer the tray to the fridge for 3 hours or to the freezer for 30 minutes to let the chocolate harden.
10 - Once set, take the tray out and snap the treat into smaller pieces by hand.

# Notes:

01 - Make sure the chocolate has fully hardened in the fridge or freezer before breaking into pieces.
