Soft cake with almonds and apples (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 1/2 packet of baking powder
02 - 50g all-purpose flour
03 - 100g almond meal
04 - A pinch of salt
05 - 100g sugar

→ Wet Ingredients

06 - 3 eggs
07 - 150g unsweetened applesauce
08 - 100g melted butter
09 - Optional: 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

→ Topping

10 - Optional: Sliced almonds

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven ready by preheating it to 180°C. Grease and dust a loaf pan with flour.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine almond meal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, applesauce, and melted butter. Stir in almond extract if using.
04 - Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture, folding gently until you have a smooth batter.
05 - Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the sliced almonds on top if desired. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean.
06 - Let the cake rest in the pan for a few minutes, then remove it from the pan and allow it to cool fully on a wire rack.
