Prosciutto Grilled Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Butter & Bread

01 - Two thick slices of rustic sourdough or crusty bread
02 - Butter for slathering

→ Protein & Cheese

03 - Half a ball of fresh mozzarella
04 - A handful of grated cheese (cheddar, gruyere, or mozzarella)
05 - Three slices of prosciutto

→ Seasonings & Herbs

06 - Two spoonfuls of basil pesto
07 - Four or five fresh basil leaves
08 - Season with a pinch of salt and pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your pan on a medium-low flame. Grab the first bread slice, spread butter thickly on one side, and lay it down on your worktop with the butter side facing down.
02 - Start assembling your sandwich by stacking prosciutto, shredded cheese, fresh mozzarella slices, pesto, and basil leaves. Sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper over everything, then press the second piece of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
03 - Set your sandwich in the heated pan and let it cook for roughly 5 minutes per side. Aim for crispy, golden edges outside and gooey, melted cheese inside.

# Notes:

01 - A mix of shredded and fresh cheese makes it perfectly gooey.
02 - Slow cooking helps create the best crunchy crust.
03 - Don’t fret—any cheese you’ve got works great!
