Ham pineapple syrup bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 Quebec pork ham, bone-in or boneless
02 - 20 to 30 whole cloves
03 - 400 ml pineapple slices with juice
04 - 540 ml maple syrup

# Instructions:

01 - Put the ham in a pot, fill it up with water, and set it on medium heat to boil. Afterward, let it simmer gently on low for half an hour.
02 - Heat the oven to 140 °C (275 °F) and make sure a rack is set in the middle spot.
03 - Drain the ham and stick the cloves into it. Move the ham to an oven-safe dish, layer pineapple slices on top, then pour in the pineapple juice and maple syrup.
04 - Bake uncovered for an hour and a half. During cooking, pour the pineapple juice and syrup over the ham 2 or 3 times.
