Grinch Cookies Fun (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 and a half cups of plain flour.
02 - A tablespoon of baking powder.
03 - Half a teaspoon of salt.
04 - One and a half cups of granulated sugar.
05 - Two large eggs.
06 - A third cup of softened butter.
07 - 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract.
08 - Half a teaspoon of mint flavor.
09 - Green dye for food.
10 - Sugar for coating.
11 - Candy hearts.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn oven to 375°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a bowl, toss together the salt, baking powder, and flour.
03 - Using a mixer, cream the sugar and butter until it's light and airy.
04 - One by one, beat in the eggs, then mix in the vanilla and mint extracts.
05 - Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Don't overdo it.
06 - Add green food dye and knead till the color looks even.
07 - Make small balls from the dough and give them a good roll in sugar.
08 - Arrange the dough balls on the sheet. Flatten gently with your palm.
09 - Stick a candy heart right in the middle of each cookie.
10 - Pop them in the oven for about 8 minutes. Take them out when the edges look golden.
11 - Wait two minutes on the sheet before moving cookies to a wire rack to chill completely.
