Crunchy Sweet Treat (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - ½ cup almond slices.
02 - ½ cup salted butter.
03 - ⅓ cup water.
04 - ¾ cup granulated sugar.
05 - ½ cup light corn syrup.
06 - ½ teaspoon baking soda.
07 - ½ cup salted peanuts.

# Instructions:

01 - Cover your baking sheet with parchment and leave it nearby. Get everything measured out and within arm's reach before starting.
02 - Heat up your butter in a big saucepan over medium-high heat until it's melted completely.
03 - Add sugar, water, and corn syrup to the melted butter. Keep stirring for about 2 minutes until all the sugar dissolves.
04 - Clip on the candy thermometer and cook while stirring now and then. Wait for it to reach 300°F, which can take about 15 minutes.
05 - Once you've reached 300°F, stir the baking soda into your mixture quickly.
06 - Stir in the almonds and peanuts without wasting time, then pour everything onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread it out evenly.
07 - Give it roughly 30 minutes to cool down completely. Then crack it into smaller pieces.
