# Ingredients:

01 - 3/4 cup of milk (whole or 2%).
02 - A generous splash of oil, like coconut or vegetable, for frying.
03 - 4 fresh apples (Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, or Gala).
04 - 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder.
05 - Just 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, if you'd like.
06 - 2 tablespoons of regular sugar.
07 - 1 large egg, cracked and ready to mix.
08 - 1 cup of all-purpose flour, plus another 2 extra tablespoons.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
10 - 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder.
11 - 1/3 cup of sugar for dusting.

# Instructions:

01 - In a sturdy pan, heat oil (about an inch deep) to 365°F.
02 - Slice apples into rings about 3/8 inch thick, removing the cores.
03 - Combine cinnamon with 1/3 cup sugar and set it aside for later.
04 - Stir together milk and egg, then add the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Mix till smooth.
05 - Coat the apple slices in batter and fry until golden (1-2 minutes). Drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar while still warm.
