Beef and Potatoes Skillet (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound (450 g) ground beef, 85% lean.
02 - 4 medium potatoes, diced into chunks.
03 - One onion, chopped up.
04 - Two garlic cloves, finely minced.
05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
06 - 1 teaspoon salt.
07 - Half a teaspoon of black pepper.
08 - Quarter cup (60 ml) beef stock or broth.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat up the olive oil in a big pan. Add the potatoes and keep stirring for about 6 minutes until they start turning golden.
02 - Move the browned potatoes to one side of the pan. Toss in the ground beef, and break it up into smaller pieces. Season and cook it until it’s almost fully browned.
03 - Stir the beef and potatoes together. Mix in the onion and garlic, and cook for around 2-3 minutes.
04 - Pour in the beef broth, cover up the pan, and simmer for 5 minutes. Check if the potatoes are tender and fully cooked through.

# Notes:

01 - Feel free to swap in other vegetables of your choice.
02 - Ground turkey works as a great substitute for beef.
