01 -
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place your baking sheet inside as it heats up to help get that lovely crispy texture!
02 -
Slice those sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch-wide sticks. Peeling is totally up to you, but try to keep those pieces the same size so they cook nicely.
03 -
Toss your cut fries into a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes. It takes out the extra starch and makes them extra crispy later.
04 -
Dry the fries really well, then in a mixing bowl, coat them with olive oil, a sprinkle of garlic powder, paprika, and some salt and pepper. If you want that irresistible crunch, add cornstarch now!
05 -
Pull out the baking sheet carefully (it’ll be hot!) and arrange the fries in one layer. This helps them get crispy. Bake for 25-30 minutes and flip them halfway through for even cooking.
06 -
When they’ve got a golden, crispy look, take them out. Let them cool for a few minutes if you can wait—and dig in!
