Baked Sweet Potato Fries (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 teaspoon sea salt
02 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil, make it a good one!
04 - 2 medium sweet potatoes, optional to peel, cut into evenly sized 1/4-inch sticks
05 - 1 teaspoon paprika, smoked is a great option for more flavor
06 - 1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper, ground fine

→ Optional Crispy Coating

07 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch for that perfect crunch

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place your baking sheet inside as it heats up to help get that lovely crispy texture!
02 - Slice those sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch-wide sticks. Peeling is totally up to you, but try to keep those pieces the same size so they cook nicely.
03 - Toss your cut fries into a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes. It takes out the extra starch and makes them extra crispy later.
04 - Dry the fries really well, then in a mixing bowl, coat them with olive oil, a sprinkle of garlic powder, paprika, and some salt and pepper. If you want that irresistible crunch, add cornstarch now!
05 - Pull out the baking sheet carefully (it’ll be hot!) and arrange the fries in one layer. This helps them get crispy. Bake for 25-30 minutes and flip them halfway through for even cooking.
06 - When they’ve got a golden, crispy look, take them out. Let them cool for a few minutes if you can wait—and dig in!

# Notes:

01 - Best eaten as soon as they come out of the oven while they’re super crispy.
02 - Adding cornstarch gives them that amazing crunch while staying soft inside.
03 - Give each fry some space! Piling them up leads to steaming, which makes them less crispy.
