Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.

Peel the apple, then cut it into 8-10 slices and put them aside for now.

Pull apart the crescent roll dough into triangle-shaped pieces.

To wrap, start at the widest end of a triangle and roll it snugly around an apple slice. Dry apples beforehand so the dough sticks better. Arrange all the rolled slices in the greased pan.

In a small pot, melt butter over medium heat. Mix in sugar and cinnamon, stirring constantly as it thickens up. Once done, take it off the heat and stir in vanilla.

Pour the buttery cinnamon mixture over the wrapped apples evenly. Then, drizzle the soda on top of everything.

Bake the dish for 40-45 minutes until the rolls look golden on top.
