White Pizza Garlic Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Garlic Pizza Sauce

01 - 1¼ cups whole milk
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
03 - ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
04 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced super fine (or 3 teaspoons jarred minced garlic)
06 - ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
07 - ¼ teaspoon sea salt

→ Pizza Assembly

08 - ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
09 - 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves sliced thin to sprinkle on top
10 - 1 pizza crust (store-bought or homemade—your pick)
11 - 1 teaspoon olive oil
12 - ½ cup of the homemade Parmesan garlic sauce you whipped up earlier
13 - 8 ounces freshly shredded mozzarella cheese (use low-moisture!)
14 - ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded fresh

# Instructions:

01 - Get a saucepan on medium heat and let the butter melt completely till it’s bubbling slightly.
02 - Add the flour into the pan. Whisk non-stop for 2 minutes to create a paste, but make sure it doesn’t turn brown.
03 - Slowly pour in the milk while whisking without stopping. After 3-5 minutes of stirring, the sauce will thicken and bubble.
04 - Toss in the minced garlic, black pepper, and sea salt. Mix everything well until it’s evenly blended.
05 - Stir that grated Parmesan into the sauce until it’s melted. Remove from the heat and set it aside to cool off slightly.
06 - Heat your oven to a high 450°F (232°C). Lay out the pizza crust, brush it with olive oil, and sprinkle some Italian seasoning over it.
07 - Layer on the creamy garlic sauce and evenly spread it over the crust. Add the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top.
08 - Pop your pizza into the hot oven for 10-12 minutes. Let it bake until the cheese melts and develops those golden spots.
09 - Pull it out of the oven, sprinkle the fresh basil ribbons on, and serve while it’s warm and delicious!
