Cover a 9x9 baking dish with foil or parchment paper, then spread butter over it to prevent sticking.

In a big saucepan, stir the sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips until they’re fully melted and mixed.

Stir in the vanilla and gently fold in the candy cane pieces.

Pour into the dish and leave it at room temperature to cool for about an hour. Sprinkle extra candy cane bits on top before placing it in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours to firm up.
