Tuna Cheese Salad (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Protein Choices

01 - 3 cans of albacore tuna (5oz each, fully drained)
02 - ⅓ to ½ cup of creamy cottage cheese

→ Veggies & Fresh Herbs

03 - A single celery stalk, chopped finely
04 - 3 tablespoons of minced red onion
05 - 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, dill, or chives
06 - 1 garlic clove, either minced or grated super fine

→ Flavor Enhancers

07 - 2 to 3 tablespoons of finely chopped pickles (sweet or dill)
08 - 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
09 - 1 teaspoon of lemon juice (add extra if you'd like)
10 - A pinch of salt (start with ¼ teaspoon, adjust as needed)
11 - ½ teaspoon of black pepper (add more for stronger flavor)
12 - Optional dash of hot sauce—depends on your taste

# Instructions:

01 - Use a blender to make cottage cheese totally smooth, or skip blending for chunkier texture if you like that
02 - In a medium-sized bowl, combine the drained tuna, cottage cheese (blended or not), all the chopped veggies, herbs, and seasoning ingredients
03 - Serve it up in lettuce cups, on bread for sandwiches, with crackers, or however you enjoy it most!

# Notes:

01 - Use more or less cottage cheese depending on how thick or creamy you want it
02 - You can leave the cottage cheese as-is if you prefer it with texture
03 - There are lots of ways to serve this—pick your favorite!
04 - Seasoning can always be tweaked to suit your taste buds
