Rustic Dish with Lentils and Sausage (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables and Legumes

01 - 1 cup of lentils
02 - 1 carrot
03 - 2 onions

→ Meats and Proteins

04 - 300 g sausage
05 - A slice of bacon or diced lard
06 - 20 g butter

→ Seasonings

07 - 4 cups of stock or broth
08 - A splash of vinegar to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Chop the onions into thin slices and sauté them in butter until soft.
02 - Slice the carrot thinly and toss it into the pan with the onions. Let it cook for a bit.
03 - Throw in the sausage along with the bacon. Let them get a nice golden color.
04 - Pour in the lentils and cover them with the stock. Cover the pot and simmer it over medium heat for about 25 minutes once it begins to boil.
05 - Drain (keep the cooking liquid if you want to make soup later). Serve steaming hot and drizzle a little vinegar over it, if that sounds good to you.
