Flavorful Taco Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1/2 of a medium onion, chopped
02 - 1 pound lean ground beef
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ Seasonings

04 - 1 tablespoon chili powder
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon cumin

→ Casserole Ingredients

07 - 1 jar of salsa (15.5 oz)
08 - 2 cups of shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese, divided
09 - 1 can of black beans (14 oz), rinsed well
10 - 1 can (12 oz) sweet corn, drained
11 - 2 cups crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos

→ Optional Toppings

12 - Choose from: scallions, sour cream, chopped lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, avocado, black olives

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and move the rack to the middle spot.
02 - On medium-high heat, warm up the oil in a pan and brown the ground beef for about 5 minutes. Break it apart while cooking. Stir in the onion and spices then cook for another 5 minutes.
03 - Spread the crushed Doritos all across the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
04 - Once the beef is done, drain the grease. Stir in the black beans, corn, salsa, and half of the cheese. Mix until the cheese is melty, then layer this mixture over the Doritos.
05 - Top it with the rest of the cheese, leave it uncovered, and bake for 15–20 minutes until the cheese is gooey and bubbly. Enjoy warm with any toppings you love.
