Swedish potatoes dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 medium-sized potatoes.
02 - 2 tablespoons of thyme.
03 - Olive oil.
04 - 50 grams of butter.
05 - Espelette pepper.
06 - Salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 180°C and let it heat up.
02 - Rinse the potatoes thoroughly—don't peel them. Put a pair of chopsticks on either side of each potato and cut thin slices about 3-4 mm apart, making sure not to cut all the way through.
03 - Place a small pat of butter on top of each potato. Sprinkle with salt, thyme, and Espelette pepper. Drizzle some olive oil over them.
04 - Pop the dish in the oven for an hour. Baste the potatoes often with the melted juices from the pan. Serve them hot.

# Notes:

01 - Cutting the potatoes this way adds a fun accordion-like look, which makes the dish really appealing visually.
02 - Frequent basting during baking helps create that crisp outside texture for the potatoes.
