Sugar Plum Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger.
02 - 1 tablespoon optional brandy.
03 - 200g of assorted nuts (pistachios, pine nuts, almonds).
04 - 25g of candied ginger pieces.
05 - 600g combined dried fruit (dates, raisins, figs).
06 - 1 large orange, use its juice and grated zest.
07 - 1/8 teaspoon powdered cloves.
08 - 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds.
10 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom.

# Instructions:

01 - Run everything through a food processor until it sticks together like dough.
02 - Mix the dried fruits with orange juice, zest, and alcohol, if using. Set it aside to soak in the flavors.
03 - Roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of a plum, and coat them with sugar. Chill overnight.
04 - Cover the nuts with the spices and toast for around 5 minutes. Allow to cool down.
05 - Sprinkle sugar over them once more. Keep the balls in an airtight container for a few days so the flavors improve.

01 - Different dried fruits can work too.
02 - Needs a few days to develop flavor.
