Sugar Cookie Icing (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
02 - 4 teaspoons light corn syrup
03 - Food coloring, optional
04 - 5-6 tablespoons (75-90ml) milk
05 - 4 cups (480g) powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Leave the cookies to sit for 20-24 hours before stacking them up
02 - Start with piping the edges, then fill the middle. Use a toothpick to close any empty spots
03 - Mix a bit more milk into the left-over icing until it quickly blends when stirred
04 - Slowly pour in milk until the icing takes about 3-4 seconds to settle back down. Save one-third for outlining
05 - If you’d like, mix food coloring into both icings
06 - Stir together the powdered sugar, 5 tablespoons milk, vanilla, and corn syrup until smooth and combined

# Notes:

01 - Makes about 1 3/4 cups of icing
02 - You can make it ahead of time and chill it
03 - The corn syrup adds a glossy finish
