Spinach Cheese Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - One 9-inch store-bought pie crust

→ Filling

02 - 1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded
03 - Two cups of chopped fresh spinach
04 - One cup of ricotta
05 - 1/2 cup Parmesan, finely grated
06 - Three large eggs
07 - One cup of thick cream

→ Seasonings

08 - 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
09 - A pinch of nutmeg, optional
10 - Half a teaspoon of salt
11 - Butter or olive oil, around a tablespoon

→ Optional Garnish

12 - Freshly chopped herbs
13 - Diced tomatoes

# Instructions:

01 - Heat butter or oil in a pan and cook down spinach 'til softened. If frozen, defrost and squeeze out extra water.
02 - Whisk cream, eggs, ricotta, Parmesan, and spices together. Toss in spinach last.
03 - Layer your prepared filling into the pie crust, then sprinkle mozzarella over the top.
04 - Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 375°F. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Either fresh spinach or frozen is fine
02 - Let it cool to make cutting easier
