# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, with a little extra for sprinkling.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
04 - 2 teaspoons baking powder.
05 - 2 cups (283g) plain flour.
06 - 3/4 cup (170g) soft butter at room temp.
07 - 1/2 cup (100g) packed brown sugar.
08 - 1/2 cup (100g) white sugar.
09 - 2 yolks from large eggs.
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla.
11 - 1/2 teaspoon rum flavoring.
12 - 1/2 cup eggnog.
13 - 3-5 tablespoons eggnog for the frosting.
14 - 1/2 cup (113g) butter for the frosting.
15 - 3 cups (360g) icing sugar for frosting.
16 - 1/2 teaspoon rum flavoring for frosting.

# Instructions:

01 - Begin by heating up the oven to 350°F. Combine cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking powder, and flour by whisking them together.
02 - Blend sugars and butter until creamy. Add egg yolks, vanilla, rum extract, and eggnog. Slowly stir in the dry mix.
03 - Spoon tablespoon-sized amounts onto lined trays. Bake for 11-13 minutes.
04 - Let cookies sit on trays a bit before moving to a rack to fully cool.
05 - Whip butter until light. Add the rum extract, eggnog, and icing sugar for the texture and thickness you like.
06 - Spread frosting over the cooled cookies and give them a sprinkle of nutmeg.

01 - Spoon flour into the measuring cup, then level it off.
02 - Avoid using low-fat eggnog for best results.
03 - Add extra flour if you'd like chewier cookies.
