Soft Chocolate Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1¼ cups of all-purpose flour.
02 - ½ tsp baking soda.
03 - 3 tbsp cornstarch.
04 - ½ tsp salt.
05 - ½ cup chilled butter.
06 - 6 tbsp granulated sugar.
07 - 6 tbsp brown sugar.
08 - 1 egg.
09 - A half tsp of vanilla extract.
10 - 1 bag of semisweet chocolate chips.
11 - ¼ cup chopped nuts (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 240°C and cover baking trays with parchment paper.
02 - Combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking soda using a whisk.
03 - In a large bowl, blend the cubed butter with both sugars, the egg, and the vanilla extract.
04 - Carefully fold the dry ingredients into the wet mix.
05 - Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts until they're well distributed.
06 - Scoop out dough balls with a tablespoon and place them on the tray.
07 - Bake for about 6 to 7 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden.
08 - Cool the cookies on the tray—they'll finish setting as they cool down.
