Slow cooker teriyaki pork (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Meat

01 - 2 large pork tenderloins
02 - 1 large onion, chopped
03 - 2 minced garlic cloves

→ For the Sauce

04 - 1/4 cup (60ml) rice vinegar
05 - 1/2 cup (125ml) low-sodium soy sauce
06 - 1/2 cup (125ml) maple syrup or honey
07 - A tablespoon of grated ginger
08 - Black pepper to your liking

→ To Thicken the Sauce

09 - 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
10 - 1/4 cup (60ml) cold water

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the pork tenderloins into thick rounds and lay them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
02 - In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, onion, ginger, and some black pepper. Pour this over the pork.
03 - Put the lid on and cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
04 - Remove the pork and shred it with forks. Heat the sauce in a pan until it boils. Mix the cornstarch with cold water, then stir it into the bubbling sauce. Keep stirring until it thickens.
05 - Pour the sauce over the pulled pork. Serve it right away, or keep it warm in the slow cooker.
