Slow Cooker Meatloaf (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 large eggs
02 - 65 ml of brown sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
05 - 3 peeled carrots, halved
06 - 1 teaspoon of black pepper
07 - 190 ml of breadcrumbs
08 - 226 g of Italian sausage, casing removed
09 - 907 g of lean ground beef
10 - 2 teaspoons of salt
11 - 190 ml of ketchup
12 - 1 large onion, finely chopped
13 - 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Arrange the halved carrots at the bottom of the slow cooker.
02 - Combine the ground beef, sausage, onion, ketchup, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a big bowl. Keep mixing until everything looks even and smooth.
03 - Mold the mixture into a loaf shape using your hands, then place it carefully on top of the carrots in the slow cooker.
04 - Whisk together the brown sugar, remaining garlic powder, Dijon mustard, and the rest of the ketchup in the same bowl. Stir until smooth.
05 - Spread the prepared sauce evenly over the loaf.
06 - Put the lid on the slow cooker and let it cook for 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on LOW.
07 - Carefully pour off any extra liquid before serving the dish.

# Notes:

01 - Be sure to remove any excess liquid after cooking so the meatloaf isn't soggy.
