Salmon cheese toast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 slices of sandwich bread.
02 - 200 g of smoked salmon.
03 - 150 g of garlic and herb cream cheese (like Boursin).
04 - 100 g of shredded Gruyère or Emmental cheese.
05 - 50 g of butter.
06 - Salt.
07 - Pepper.
08 - Fresh dill (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Spread a thick layer of garlic and herb cheese on one side of each bread slice.
02 - Lay the smoked salmon on half of the bread slices. Top them with the plain bread slices, cheese side in. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
03 - Melt butter in a pan and cook the sandwiches over medium heat. Flip after 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden and the cheese inside melts.
04 - Enjoy them hot! Garnish with fresh dill if you'd like, and serve with a side salad.

# Notes:

01 - A tasty twist on the classic croque-monsieur.
02 - Garlic and herb cheese is a great substitute for traditional béchamel.
