Set oven to 350°F to heat up.

Put parchment paper on the baking tray.

Beat together sugar and butter until fluffy. Add vanilla, then slowly mix in the flour.

Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.

Evenly coat with jam, but leave space along the edges.

Shape into a log and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Cut the dough into 1/4 inch slices. Place them on the prepared tray.
