Peppermint Oreo Pie (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 25 chocolate sandwich cookies.
02 - 5 tablespoons melted unsalted butter.
03 - 8 oz softened cream cheese.
04 - 3/4 cup powdered sugar.
05 - A few drops of red food dye.
06 - 1 teaspoon peppermint flavoring.
07 - 2 tubs thawed whipped topping.
08 - 3/4 cup candy canes, crushed.

# Instructions:

01 - Break cookies into crumbs using a rolling pin or food processor. Combine with melted butter, press into a 9-inch pie dish, and pop it in the fridge to chill.
02 - Whip powdered sugar and cream cheese together until smooth. Mix in red food dye until you like the color.
03 - Gently fold one tub of whipped topping into the filling along with 1/2 cup crushed candy canes.
04 - Spoon filling into the cooled crust. Spread the rest of the whipped topping on top and sprinkle with the remaining candy canes.
05 - Let it chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of an hour before you serve it up.
