Beef with Peppers (Printer-Friendly Version)

# Shopping List:

→ Protein

01 - 500 grams of beef steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank), sliced very thin

→ Veggies and Spices

02 - 1 green bell pepper, sliced
03 - 1 red bell pepper, sliced
04 - 1 onion, cut into slices
05 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
06 - 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger

→ Seasoning and Sauce

07 - 1/4 cup of beef stock
08 - 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
09 - 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
10 - 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
11 - 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
12 - Salt
13 - Pepper

# Let's Cook:

01 - Mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch together in a bowl. Add the thin slices of beef and coat well. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to marinate.
02 - Heat a wok or large skillet on high, then sear the beef in the oil for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
03 - Using the same pan, stir-fry the onions and bell peppers for 3-4 minutes, until they're tender but still a bit crisp.
04 - Toss in the ginger and garlic, cooking for another minute until their fragrance hits.
05 - Add the beef back in along with the stock. Let the sauce thicken over 2-3 minutes. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste and serve while it's hot.
