Chicken Tagine with Olives (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 preserved lemons cut into wedges.
02 - 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh cilantro.
03 - 4 chicken thighs.
04 - 120ml of water.
05 - 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric.
06 - 1 teaspoon of ground paprika.
07 - 1 teaspoon of cumin powder.
08 - 1 teaspoon of ground ginger.
09 - Salt and pepper to season.
10 - 2 crushed garlic cloves.
11 - 150g of pitted green olives.
12 - 2 finely sliced onions.
13 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

# Instructions:

01 - Toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, sliced onions, garlic, and all the spices. Let it soak in the flavors in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
02 - Warm some oil in a tagine or pot. Sear the marinated chicken with its mix, making sure all sides are browned evenly.
03 - Throw in the preserved lemons, olives, and water. Cover it up and gently simmer over low heat for 45–60 minutes until the chicken turns tender.
04 - Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the dish just before serving.
