Homemade Meatloaf (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 and 1/2 lbs of ground meat
02 - 3/4 cup of quick-cooking oats
03 - 3/4 cup of 2% milk
04 - 1 egg
05 - 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
06 - 1 and 1/4 teaspoons of salt
07 - 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
08 - 1/3 cup of ketchup
09 - 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
10 - 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on and set it to 350 °F.
02 - Grab a medium bowl and combine the ground meat, oats, milk, egg, onions, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix until it's all blended.
03 - Scoop the mixture into a loaf pan and press it down to make it flat on top.
04 - In a small bowl, stir together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard.
05 - Pour the sauce you just made evenly over the top of the meat mixture in the pan.
06 - Put the pan in the oven and bake for about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
07 - When done, take it out and drain off any extra fat before serving.

01 - This works great for a family dinner and pairs nicely with mashed potatoes or steamed veggies.
