09 - Whipped cream (optional)
10 - Fresh fruit (optional)
11 - Dust with powdered sugar

→ For Frying

12 - About 1/2 inch of vegetable oil

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter in a medium bowl. Mix until smooth.
02 - Add sugar, baking soda, and salt to the bowl of wet ingredients. Stir well.
03 - Slowly add flour to the wet mixture. Gently fold until there are no lumps left.
04 - Pour your batter into a gallon-sized zip bag. Close it securely and let it rest for a bit.
05 - Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan so it reaches about 1/2 inch deep. Heat it on high at first, then lower to medium after a couple of minutes.
06 - Drop a tiny piece of batter into the oil to test if it's hot. If it sizzles, you're good. If not, adjust the heat a little higher.
07 - Cut a small hole in one corner of the bag. Squeeze the batter into the hot oil in a circular pattern. Cook until one side turns golden and crispy.
08 - Carefully turn the cakes over using a slotted spatula. Let the other side cook until golden too.
09 - Move the finished bites to some paper towels to soak up extra oil. Sprinkle powdered sugar on them while warm.
10 - Enjoy them right away with some whipped cream or fresh fruit, if you like.

# Notes:

01 - These taste amazing while warm and freshly made. You can make smaller or larger bites depending on how much batter you pipe in.
02 - Want that fair-style vibe? Serve them on paper plates and load on the powdered sugar!
