Set your oven to 180°C to warm up while you're working on mixing the batter.

Use a big bowl to combine the flour, baking powder, eggs, light cream, and vanilla. Stir well until smooth and lump-free.

Split the batter in half. Stir the melted dark chocolate into one part. The other half gets the chocolate chips, saving some to sprinkle on top later.

Line a pan with parchment paper. Pour in the batter with melted chocolate first, then layer the batter with chocolate chips on top. Scatter the saved chocolate chips over it all.

Pop it in the oven for 45 minutes. To check if it's cooked, stick a knife in—if it comes out clean or with crumbs, you're good. Let it cool off before taking it out and cutting it up.
