Leek bacon flan (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 300 ml of milk.
02 - 100 g of shredded gruyère cheese.
03 - A pinch of salt.
04 - Two eggs.
05 - Freshly ground pepper.
06 - One onion.
07 - 500 g of leek whites.
08 - 350 g of smoked bacon pieces.

# Instructions:

01 - Wash the leeks after slicing them into 1 cm rounds. Boil in water for about 7-8 minutes, cool in ice water, then drain them well.
02 - In a frying pan, cook the smoky bacon until crispy. Toss in the sliced onion and let it soften and color lightly.
03 - Mix the leeks with the onion and bacon in the pan. Let the leftover water steam off.
04 - Whisk the eggs, salt, and pepper. Stir in the milk and then add the leek and bacon mixture.
05 - Pour the mixture into ramekins or an oven dish, sprinkle with gruyère, and bake at 200°C for 20-30 minutes.
