Effortless Pomegranate Jelly (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 7 cups granulated sugar.
02 - 5 cups fresh pomegranate juice.
03 - 1 packet (1.75 oz) of dry pectin.
04 - 1 tablespoon of butter, optional.

# Instructions:

01 - Wash 4 jars and their lids with soapy warm water. Dry them off with a towel.
02 - Blend seeds from fresh fruit, then strain the juice if that’s your choice.
03 - Add juice, pectin, and butter (if using) to a large pot. Bring the mix to a boil.
04 - Place the cleaned jars in hot water to warm them up.
05 - Pour in all the sugar at once. Stir and bring back to a boil. Let it cook for 2 and a half minutes.
06 - Take the pot off the heat. Remove the bubbles sitting on top.
07 - Fill the warmed jars, leaving 1/4 inch at the top. Wipe the rims and put the lids on.
08 - Boil the filled jars for 10 minutes with water covering them. Let cool to seal completely.

# Notes:

01 - Butter can keep foam from forming.
02 - Check the rules for lids—some don’t need heating.
03 - Leave extra space if storing in the freezer.
