Set your oven to 180°C and let it heat up.

Unroll the puff pastry, layer it with slices of ham, and sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the top.

Roll the pastry tightly until it looks like a log or cylinder.

Slice the roll into pieces roughly 1 cm thick.

Line up the slices on a baking tray with parchment paper. Brush each one with egg yolk and, if you like, add a sprinkle of seeds.

Pop them in the oven for 12-15 minutes until they turn golden and crispy.
