Ham Béchamel Croquettes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons flour for coating.
02 - A pinch of salt and a dash of pepper.
03 - 1 large egg for breading.
04 - 1/2 clove of garlic, minced.
05 - 1/2 small onion, finely chopped.
06 - 1 cup whole milk.
07 - 35 grams of butter.
08 - 4 oz (125 g) diced ham.
09 - 70 grams breadcrumbs.
10 - Vegetable oil for frying.
11 - 35 grams of all-purpose flour.

# Instructions:

01 - Stir milk in gradually while mixing to a thick consistency. Season with pepper and salt.
02 - Add the flour to the pot and cook while stirring for about a minute or two.
03 - Spread mixture onto a tray and freeze for about 25 minutes.
04 - Melt butter in a pan, add garlic, ham, and onions. Stir and cook for a couple of minutes.
05 - Roll into croquette shapes, then coat in egg, breadcrumbs, and flour in that order.
06 - Heat oil to 180°C, fry until crispy and golden. Drain excess oil on paper towels.

01 - Enjoy alongside a green salad or dip of your choice, like spicy tomato or classic aioli.
02 - Prepare ahead of time—freeze them before frying for later use.
