Tender grilled octopus (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 whole octopus.
02 - A lemon.
03 - 2 garlic cloves.
04 - 1/4 cup olive oil.
05 - A pinch of dried oregano.
06 - Salt and pepper, to taste.

# Instructions:

01 - You can boil the octopus for 30 to 40 minutes to tenderize it, or massage it with salt for 5 to 10 minutes before cooking.
02 - Whisk together olive oil, diced garlic, oregano, lemon juice, and some salt and pepper.
03 - Coat the octopus with the marinade and let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour, or overnight for better flavor.
04 - Set your grill to 200°C so it's ready when you need it.
05 - Cook the octopus for 15 to 20 minutes on each side until it's charred and soft.
06 - Let the octopus cool off for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

# Notes:

01 - Feel free to add some fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme to the marinade if you'd like.
02 - For a juicier result, cover it with foil during grilling.
03 - Pairs great with a crisp salad or roasted veggies.
