# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup molasses (not blackstrap).
02 - 1 cup soft butter.
03 - 1 large egg.
04 - 1 cup packed brown sugar.
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla essence.
06 - 1 tablespoon cider vinegar.
07 - 5 cups plain flour.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
09 - 1 teaspoon baking soda.
10 - 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder.
11 - 1 tablespoon ginger powder.
12 - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder.
13 - 1/2 teaspoon allspice powder.
14 - 1/2 teaspoon clove powder.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the softened butter with the sugar. Toss in the vinegar, egg, molasses, and vanilla next.
02 - Whisk up the flour, salt, and spices. Mix this slowly into your wet mixture till it's smooth.
03 - Cover the dough and leave it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
04 - Spread some flour on your counter. Roll out dough about 1/4 inch thick and pick your favorite cookie shapes.
05 - Bake them at 350°F. Small cookies need 6-8 minutes, medium ones about 8-10, while larger ones take 12-14.
