Garlic Chicken Gnocchi (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main ingredients

01 - 1 pound gnocchi made from potatoes
02 - 1 pound chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, diced
03 - 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
04 - 1 cup chicken stock
05 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
06 - 1 cup heavy cream
07 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

→ Seasonings and garnish

08 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend, dried
09 - Freshly cracked black pepper and salt, as needed
10 - Fresh basil leaves for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil in a big pan over medium heat. Sprinkle the chicken chunks with black pepper, salt, and Italian herbs. Sauté until they're golden on the outside and fully cooked inside, about 6-8 minutes. Take out and put aside.
02 - Using the same pan, stir the minced garlic for 30 seconds until it smells amazing, but don't let it burn.
03 - Pour in the chicken stock, scraping the pan to release any stuck pieces. Add the gnocchi and stir occasionally for about 3-4 minutes until they soften a bit.
04 - Turn the heat down to low-medium and gently stir in the heavy cream. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes so the sauce thickens slightly.
05 - Add the chicken back into the pan along with Parmesan. Mix well until the cheese melts and everything heats up. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

# Notes:

01 - Swap heavy cream with milk or half-and-half for a lighter option
02 - You can use gluten-free gnocchi if preferred
03 - The browned bits from sautéing the chicken add a lot of flavor to the dish
