Soft cake with egg whites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cake Base

01 - 160g of sugar
02 - 80g of melted butter that’s been cooled
03 - 4 egg whites
04 - 1 teaspoon of almond extract
05 - A pinch of optional salt
06 - 2 packets of baking powder
07 - 80g of flour

→ Filling

08 - A spread of your choice

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to preheat at 165°C
02 - Mix the flour, sugar, and baking powder in a large mixing bowl
03 - Gently blend in the egg whites, melted butter, and almond extract until it’s smooth
04 - Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan. Bake it for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick poked into the middle comes out clean
05 - Let the cake cool fully, then slice it in half. Spread the filling generously and close it back up

# Notes:

01 - To make it fluffier, add a tablespoon of milk
02 - You can toss in chocolate chips, dried fruits, or grated citrus peel
03 - Keep it in a cool, dark spot for 2-3 days at room temperature
04 - For a lighter texture, whisk the egg whites until they’re fluffy before adding
05 - A sprinkle of powdered sugar on top before serving can add a classy touch
