Easy Beef Stroganoff (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 small onion, finely chopped.
02 - 1 pound of lean ground beef.
03 - 1 clove garlic, finely chopped.
04 - 12 ounces of fresh mushrooms, cut into slices.
05 - 3 tablespoons of plain flour.
06 - 2 cups of beef stock.
07 - 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce.
08 - Season with black pepper and a little salt.
09 - 3/4 cup of sour cream.
10 - 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped up.

# Instructions:

01 - Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic to a pan. Cook it all together until the meat is browned and fully cooked, leaving the pieces in chunks. Get rid of any extra grease.
02 - Toss in the mushrooms and let them cook for about 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir it around for another minute.
03 - Pour in the beef stock along with Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Bring it to a boil, then lower the heat to let it simmer for 10 minutes.
04 - Take the pan off the heat. Mix in the sour cream and parsley. Serve on top of egg noodles or your choice of base.

# Notes:

01 - Regular broth works better—skip low sodium.
02 - Stir in sour cream only after removing from heat to stop it from curdling.
03 - Greek yogurt can replace sour cream if needed.
04 - Fresh mushrooms work best, but canned ones are fine too.
