Take the plain popped popcorn and put it into a big bowl, then leave it to the side.

Over medium heat, melt the butter in a medium pan. Drop in the marshmallows and stir nonstop until smooth and creamy.

Take the pan off the heat. Stir the vanilla into the mix. If you want, use separate bowls to add individual food coloring to portions of the mixture.

Pour the warm marshmallow mix over the popcorn. Gently toss the popcorn to coat it evenly all over.

Toss in pastel-coated chocolates and give it a light stir, just enough to combine without overmixing.

Spray your hands with cooking spray, then form the mixture into balls about 3 inches wide.

Set the shaped balls on wax paper and let them cool fully before serving.
