Parmesan Green Beans (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Green beans with ends trimmed (1 lb/500g).
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided.
03 - 2 garlic cloves, minced finely.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper.
06 - 1/3 cup of crunchy panko crumbs.
07 - 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on oven to 425F/220C or set the broiler to high. Position the rack about 12 inches/30cm from the flame or heat source.
02 - Lay the beans on a baking sheet. Pour on 1 tablespoon of oil, sprinkle with garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix till everything's coated evenly.
03 - Arrange the beans into tidy rows, making sure they're snuggled close together.
04 - Scatter the breadcrumbs and parmesan across the beans. Pour the last tablespoon of oil over them.
05 - Pop it in the oven for 15 minutes or broil for around 8 minutes, just until the parmesan turns golden.
06 - Slide a spatula underneath, move them to a plate, and serve right away.

# Notes:

01 - Pre-shredded parmesan works, or double the amount if it's freshly shredded.
02 - You can swap in thawed, dried frozen beans for the fresh ones.
03 - Tastes best immediately, while it's still nice and crispy.
