Slice 8-12 cuts from onion top, but stop at the base. Gently pull the layers apart to make it bloom.

Dust with seasoned flour first, then dip in egg-buttermilk mix, and coat again with flour.

Spritz with oil and air fry at 375°F for 12-15 minutes.

Blend all sauce ingredients together until smooth. Serve it alongside the onion (partially cooled).
