Strawberry Cheesecake Delights (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Sandwich Ingredients

01 - 8 thin slices of white or brioche bread, without crusts
02 - 1 cup soft cream cheese
03 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
04 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla
05 - 1/2 cup of strawberry preserves
06 - 1 large beaten egg
07 - 1/2 cup milk or cream
08 - 1 cup of crispy panko crumbs
09 - Vegetable oil for shallow frying

→ Toppings

10 - Powdered sugar for sprinkling
11 - Freshly sliced strawberries
12 - Whipped cream to dollop
13 - A drizzle of maple syrup or honey

# Instructions:

01 - Blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth. Spread the mixture over one side of each bread slice. On half the slices, add a thin layer of jam. Close the sandwiches by topping with the remaining bread, gently pressing them to keep them together.
02 - Beat the egg with milk in a shallow dish. Spread out the panko crumbs on a plate or shallow dish nearby.
03 - Quickly dunk each sandwich into the egg mix, letting the excess drip away. Press each side into the crumbs until covered completely. Lightly press the crumbs so they stick well.
04 - Warm up about 1.5 cm of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, aiming for 175°C. Add the sandwiches, making sure not to crowd the pan. Fry each side for 2-3 minutes or until crispy and golden. Place them on paper towels to soak up any extra oil.
05 - Sprinkle powdered sugar over the sandwiches. Add sliced strawberries and whipped cream on top, if you like. Sweeten it further by drizzling maple syrup or honey. Serve them warm for the best experience.

# Notes:

01 - Yields about 8-12 small sandwiches, depending on how they're sliced.
02 - A soft bread with a little sweetness gives the best flavor.
03 - For a richer taste, try using homemade strawberry compote instead of jam.
