Caramel Crispix (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups packed brown sugar.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt for sprinkling.
03 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
04 - 16 oz Crispix cereal.
05 - 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks).
06 - 1/2 cup light corn syrup.
07 - 1/2 tsp baking soda.

# Instructions:

01 - Cover baking sheets with parchment paper. Place Crispix in a microwaveable dish.
02 - Mix together vanilla, corn syrup, butter, and sugar in a large pot. Bring to a boil and stir constantly for about 1-2 minutes. Once boiling, add baking soda and let it bubble up before removing from heat.
03 - Pour the hot caramel over the cereal. Stir everything gently, making sure it gets coated well. Microwave for 60 seconds and stir again. Do this 3 more times.
04 - Spread the mixture onto the baking sheets. Sprinkle sea salt on top. Once completely cool, break into smaller chunks.
