Cover baking sheets with parchment paper. Place Crispix in a microwaveable dish.

Mix together vanilla, corn syrup, butter, and sugar in a large pot. Bring to a boil and stir constantly for about 1-2 minutes. Once boiling, add baking soda and let it bubble up before removing from heat.

Pour the hot caramel over the cereal. Stir everything gently, making sure it gets coated well. Microwave for 60 seconds and stir again. Do this 3 more times.

Spread the mixture onto the baking sheets. Sprinkle sea salt on top. Once completely cool, break into smaller chunks.
