Crispy Bacon Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 all-butter puff pastry sheet
02 - 200 g of high-quality smoked bacon bits
03 - 100 ml of fresh cream
04 - 150 g of shredded Comté cheese
05 - 2 eggs
06 - Freshly ground black pepper
07 - Grated nutmeg

# Instructions:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, cream, grated Comté cheese, nutmeg, and some black pepper.
02 - Heat the oven to 180°C (around 350°F). On a lightly floured surface, lay out the puff pastry and cut small circles using a glass or cookie cutter.
03 - On medium heat, cook the bacon bits in a skillet until they're crispy and golden. Place the puff pastry circles onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle pieces of cooked bacon on each circle, then spoon a bit of the filling mixture on top.
04 - Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the bites turn golden and puffy. Take them out of the oven and enjoy them warm or at room temperature.
