In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, cream, grated Comté cheese, nutmeg, and some black pepper.

Heat the oven to 180°C (around 350°F). On a lightly floured surface, lay out the puff pastry and cut small circles using a glass or cookie cutter.

On medium heat, cook the bacon bits in a skillet until they're crispy and golden. Place the puff pastry circles onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle pieces of cooked bacon on each circle, then spoon a bit of the filling mixture on top.

Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the bites turn golden and puffy. Take them out of the oven and enjoy them warm or at room temperature.
