Beef Carbonara Delight (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 to 1 cup of pasta water.
02 - 2-3 garlic cloves.
03 - 1 whole egg.
04 - 40g grated aged Italian cheese.
05 - 240g of pasta (like spaghetti or bucatini).
06 - 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
07 - Beef bacon strips, dried.
08 - 2 egg yolks.
09 - A tablespoon of butter (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Boil a pot of salted water. Follow the package direction to cook the pasta. Save some of the hot water before draining.
02 - Warm up the beef bacon in a skillet on medium heat to release the fat. Toss in the garlic and cook for 3-5 minutes.
03 - Add the cooked pasta into the skillet with the bacon. Stir well to coat everything.
04 - Whisk together the egg, yolks, cheese, black pepper, and some reserved pasta water in a bowl.
05 - Take the skillet off the heat and mix in the egg mixture to create a creamy sauce. Adjust with more pasta water or cheese if needed.
06 - Stir in butter for extra creaminess if you like. Serve with more grated cheese on top.
