Christmas Tree Pastry (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 wooden skewers.
02 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
03 - 1/4 cup melted butter, unsalted.
04 - 1/4 cup white sugar.
05 - 2 puff pastry sheets, choose gluten-free if needed.
06 - Confectioner’s sugar for topping.
07 - Optional: 8 Rolo candies.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F and grab a baking pan lined with parchment. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
02 - Spread one puff pastry sheet on the pan, coat with half the melted butter, and sprinkle with the cinnamon mix. Lay the second sheet right on top.
03 - Slice into 1-inch wide strips using a pizza cutter. Fold each piece like an accordion and skewer them onto wooden sticks.
04 - Brush the leftover butter on top and let them chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
05 - Pop them in the oven for 15-20 minutes until they’re puffed and lightly golden. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top and, if you’d like, add a Rolo at the skewer base.

# Notes:

01 - Let the puff pastry soften a bit before using.
02 - They taste best the same day you make them.
03 - If you want smaller trees, trim the skewers.
